Consequences of excessive polishing of die materials

Polishing problem has been a difficult problem for enterprises to solve. Plastic mold steel requires a very good polishing skills to reflect the nature of the material, but the Hashimoto industry has reached the requirements of high quality customer enterprise recognition of the grinding technology. Increasingly sophisticated technology, create inimitable mirror finishing effect, the use of steel to suggest micro hole solution, precision parts and a variety of complex shape.
The biggest problem encountered in the polishing is "excessive", the polishing is longer, the surface quality of the mould is worse. Occurrence of excessive polishing when there are two kinds of phenomena, namely "orange peel" and "crater", excessive polishing occurs in mechanical polishing.
"Orange peel"
The irregular surface roughness, known as the "orange peel", "orange peel" has many different reasons. The most common reason is that the polishing pressure is too large and the polishing time is too long, and the polishing method is improper.
It is found that the surface quality is not good, many people will increase the polishing pressure, and to extend the polishing time, coupled with improper polishing process, often make the surface quality becomes worse.
"Micro hole"
Formation of the "crater" or "sand hole" is due to non metallic inclusions in steel (impurities), are usually hard and brittle oxide; in the polishing process from the steel surface is pulled out, the formation of "crater" or "sand hole". The main influencing factors are as follows:
1, polishing pressure and polishing time;
2, the purity of steel, especially the rigid inclusion (impurities) content;
3, polishing tool;
4, abrasive materials.
